The White Pine Press is an award-winning, student-run news organization at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Michigan. The White Pine Press publishes 10 print editions each school year, free copies of which are distributed throughout NMC's campus and greater Traverse City. The White Pine Press is funded by student fees and outside advertising.

 

Each year the White Pine Press wins numerous awards at the Associated Collegiate Press organization's national conference and the Michigan Community College Press Association conference. Our distinguished alumni include Garret Ellison (MLive) and Kathryn DePauw (Traverse City Record-Eagle)
